The Face of Transport
for London

 Overview

A monograph about the typeface Johnston Sans and its designer Edward Johnston.

Duration

Four weeks

Tools

InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, bookmaking, large format printing

This monograph was created from a research paper I wrote about the typeface Johnston Sans and designer Edward Johnston.

Johnston Sans has been used as the typeface for the London Underground since 1916. When designing the book, I wanted it to relate to the London Underground, so I created it to feel like a folded 18inx24in map.
